# How to use AI Slides?

**AI Slides** makes creating, designing, and refining presentations simple and efficient, whether you’re generating decks from scratch, summarizing files into slides, or enhancing existing layouts.

### Getting Started

#### 1. Setup Your Presentation

Start by choosing your basic setup and providing context for the AI.

* **Choose your mode**: Select Classic (editable elements) or Studio (image-based Nano Banana slides) at the top of the dashboard.
* **Select a template**: Browse and click on a template card (like Dune Strategy or Arc Digital). You can choose to Use Template to guide the AI generation or Open Directly to start with placeholder content.

* Provide your prompt & context: Type your topic into the prompt box.
* Select number of slides: Use the dropdown to choose how many slides you want (up to 10).
* Upload reference material: Click the + icon in the prompt box to attach supported files or images for the AI to reference.

#### 2. Review and Edit the Outline

Before creating the final visual deck, AI Slides generates a structured outline.

* **Refine the flow:** You can add, edit, or remove specific slide outline cards. This ensures the AI covers exactly what you need on each slide before it designs them.

#### 3. Customize and Generate&#x20;

Scroll down below the outline to finalize the visual direction of your deck.

* **Text Content**: Select the verbosity of your slides (Minimal, Concise, Extensive, or Detailed).
* **Theme**: Choose a color and typography theme (e.g., Ember, Ultraviolet, Coral Reef) (Available only in classic mode).
* **Image art style:** Select the style of AI-generated images you want (Illustration, Photo, Abstract, 3D, Lineart) or add your own custom style prompt.
* Click **Create presentation** to generate your deck.

#### 4. Edit and Refine

Once your presentation is generated, you can refine it directly on the canvas using the top toolbar and left-hand chat panel.

* **Toolbar Options**: Use the top menu to manually add or adjust Text, Media, Layouts, Chart, Theme, and Transitions.
* **AI Text Actions**: Select any text element on the slide and click the AI Actions (sparkles) icon to reveal intelligent editing tools. Options include Adjust Tone, Fix Spelling & Grammar, Extend Text, Reduce Text, Simplify Text, Emojify, and Summarize.
* **Edit with Chat**: Use the left sidebar chat prompt to ask the AI to generate new slides or modify existing ones conversationally.

### Exporting Documents

Share your finalized slides with your team or audience.

* **Export Options**: Click Export in the top right to download your deck. Supported file types include PowerPoint (PPTX) and PDF.
* **Present Mode**: To ensure the highest fidelity and view your slides as intended, click Present in the top right (or "Try Present Mode" from the export menu) to launch a full-screen presentation directly in your browser.
